Medicare’s Extra Help Program Can Help Lower Drug Costs
"Extra Help" is a Medicare program to help people with limited income pay their Medicare Part D premiums, deductibles, copays, and other costs. Medicare can help with these costs.
If you qualify for the Extra Help program, you:
- Will get a Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) rider. This tells you how much help you'll get from Medicare.
- Get the same coverage as someone on your plan who is not getting Extra Help.
- Must keep paying your Medicare Part B premium and follow your plan details.
Download the Low Income Premium Subsidy form. Go to our Formularios y documentos page, then choose Prescription Drug Plan Documents.
¿Tiene un LIS y cree que está pagando demasiado?
Are you in the Extra Help program but think you've been paying too much for your meds? Visite medicare.gov for details on how to get your drug costs reviewed.
